Our first picture, over 1400 mites and we stopped counting. This picture was after we removed the powdered sugar. We oiled our sticky and put it back for 24 hours.
Bees landed on sticky board 2 daysafter powdered sugar treatment. Sugar had hardened up. Mite counts are higher for about 3 days after PS treatment due to increase grooming. Live mites instantly attached themselves to the bees.
This bee just landed on the board, within seconds the mites attached.
